NEHA 2009 interview with: Mr. Joe Willmott, COO of Healthspace.

August 21, 2009

By: Kim Elton, Mambo NetCommunications inc. and Rosemary Stephen, Elements: Environmental Health Intelligence

Mr. Willmott has been attending Environmental and Public Health conferences for 5 or 6 years and he has noticed real changes in the industry within that time. The changes are especially evident in the way Health Departments prepare RFPs; once IT was king, but now, Health Departments are looking at their needs based on business requirements, public interests and best practices. Mr. Willmott strongly believes that information is power, but only if you can manage it and access it quickly and easily. In his interview, he explains this concept and describes what information management can do for the industry.

Mr. Willmott is also excited to announce that Healthspace is now acquiring a new water monitoring technology. This technology will allow medium to small water systems to do accurate and affordable, 24/7 water quality monitoring, with real-time electronic reporting.

We would like to thank Mr. Willmott for his valuable time and HealthSpace Informatics for their sponsorship of this blog.
